About MaataData
What is MaataData?
MaataData is a secure, Layer 1 blockchain protocol with an integrated database with the potential of being the first true platform that can support the scaling of the decentralized Web 3.0 ecosystem.
As with most typical blockchains, MaataData utilizes a secure, decentralized network to record and verify transactions. However, unlike others, the MaataData blockchain is integrated with an on-chain database where data stays private. Data is encrypted during transfer and while stored at rest.
MaataData's novel method of consensus and distribution also enables faster transactions. We have been able to show 1 million TPS.
This fast and secure network hosts an immutable record of all the transactions occurring in the network while at the same time a decentralized array of databases store encrypted information relating to these transactions.
A typical use case for our platform includes a desire to have certain transaction data stored permanently and securely on a decentralized network where there is no one central point of failure, and where there is confidential data associated with this transaction that needs to stay private.
Who founded MaataData?
MaataData was founded by Anjali Gulati who is the CEO as well as one of the co-founders of the company and Phillip Vaneeden who is the CTO.
Anjali is a physician who has developed a user friendly platform for doctors to use to store their patient records in a HIPPA compliant structure. While developing this platform, Anjali found herself concerned with making it intuitive so that doctors could use it without software training and also making sure that it was still compliant, this is where her idea for putting this platform on blockchain was born. Anjali has since partnered with Philip to co-found MaataData.
Philip is a database engineer who has worked for many prominent tech companies, and has significant experience with blockchain ecosystems. Philip has established his own accounting software company and then went on to join Anjali’s medical documents platform working on writing all EHR modules for meaningful use. While developing the EMR platform for Anjali, Philip explored blockchain technology to solve distribution problems inherent in current databases platforms. He co-found MaataData based on the result of this development.
